Don't know if David Sedaris falls into this category but I finally picked up "Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim". There are towering stacks of his books in every bookstore I go to. I asked a Border's store clerk why that is, and she said, "Because it's really good." The clerk at Barnes & Ignoble said, "I heard he's hilarious." So I read it. It was good. But do publishers really believe these kinds of books are a big seller or did they just publish a butt load and the bookstores, for some reason, bought them up?
