When I was a teenager

I was truly obsessed with Anthony Burgess, I think I read nearly all of his books (a feat only accomplished with the help of my father's Penn staff library card). Reading this great piece by D. J. Taylor at the Independent takes me back. I must get this new biography by Andrew Biswell, it sounds excellent.

    Yup, you put my own Burgess obsession to shame. But give me a few years and hopefully I'll catch up. :)

    I am in a mood to delve back into his stuff, one of my students gave me a lovely signed first edition of his autobiography last spring & that will be the first to reread, I think.
