Top 50 cult books, at the Telegraph. It's inevitable with a list like that that there should be some surprising in- and exclusions. I must confess that I have read a large proportion of them, especially the novels--mostly when I was a teenager!
Ha--the first thing I thought was Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, and there it was, the first one mentioned by name, before you even get to the list. Yes, I've also read a great many, and feel as if I've read others even though I haven't, and feel guilty that I have not read several more...
So funny that one of the commenters mentions the Deptford Trilogy--those are so wonderful but I think so forgotten, at least I haven't seen them mentioned in decades. But I remember when my parents and all their friends were reading them...OK, no time to delve into this deeper...
