I have been following the coverage of Sarah Waters' new book The Little Stranger and thinking that I must get hold of a copy (here's the Bat Segundo interview, but Waters' own essay on how this book was inspired by Josephine Tey's The Franchise Affair is the clincher!

  1. How funny, I've also been following and also just decided I probably have to read it. You can send your copy to me when you're done! (Have you read Laura Lippman?)

  2. I knew I would want to read it anyway, given what a great storyteller Waters is, but I agree that her essay makes it an even more enticing prospect. Thanks for the link!
