Closing tabs

I am regularly promising myself that I will post each link separately, in that it translates better to Twitter - but really I love the conglomerate closing tabs blog post!

Interesting Bukowski bit.

Pornography in the Lenin Library.

"A dream of toasted cheese."

Vanishing shorthand.

DIY fjords (but can I get one made out of sugar?).

Megan Abbott's playlist for her magnificent new novel The Fever, which I devoured the other night.

  1. The shorthand taught in my high school days was Pitman. I don't remember how fast I got with it, but I think a passing grade was 80 wpm, so that's probably what I did. It was one of those "office skills" you had to know, but that I only used one time as I recall.
