The author (with her brother)
of Cheaper By the Dozen has died. I must say I loved that book as a child, I checked it out many times from the school library--it was very exciting when I was more grown up to learn that the parents of the family really were well-known time-and-motion experts, that's a cool science...

ReplyDeleteSo sad to hear of her death! I loved those books too and found the Steve Martin remake absolutely horrific. Luckily the filmmakers can't ruin the wonderful books themselves. I still have my mom's battered orange copy of CBTD and am now moved to reread it...
