Good old Grauniad, still waving its typographically challenged flag even in this spell check age (or in this particular case, because of this spell check age).
Just off to have some read lentil and been soup for my tee.
I have published four novels and four books of literary criticism; I'm currently at work on a book called FOR THE LOVE OF BROKEN THINGS: MY FATHER, EDWARD GIBBON AND THE RUINS OF ROME. I teach in the Department of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University.
I just came across an appealing typo of my own, situated in an appealing YA novel called "Twilight": "dust moats."

My critique partner found an interesting typo in my first manuscript:
ReplyDelete"He tipped the leftover eggs into the dogs' bowels."
