An impossibly gargantuan, time-consuming labour of love

William Boyd has a magically good piece about rereading Alasdair Gray's novel Lanark in the Guardian.

(Lanark is of course one of many books that I read as an adolescent in thrall to Anthony Burgess's 99 Novels...)
